"Dickens"

CH Teloca Patches Littl’ Dickens

Pictured is me handling Dickens to his first Best in Show. This was a special moment for me. He went on to win 13 Best in Shows and earned several placements at Westminster, including multiple Variety wins along with a Group 3rd and 4th (and possibly a Group 2nd). He was also Best of Breed at the National Beagle Club.

As a sire, he was extraordinary, producing 105 champions - including 36 in one year and 39 the next, a record across all breeds. He was the kind of dog that could be competitive in any era, including today. That first Best in Show was also my first BIS win. I ultimately won two Best in Shows with him, though I had originally gotten him as a present for Wade. We handled him together, and Wade showed him most of the time.

Dickens sired 5 BIS Winners and many NBC winners. He could sire black, red and chocolate.

"Carson"

GCH Lanbur Carson City

Carson had an outstanding record both in the ring and as a sire. He produced 105 champions, including four all-breed Best in Show winners, along with 32 Grand Champion offspring.

As a puppy, he was awarded Best in Sweepstakes at the National Beagle Club in Portland under Barbara Keenan. He also earned a Best of Variety at the National Beagle Club under Skip Herendeen (possibly Best of Opposite, to be confirmed). In addition, Carson was named Best Stud Dog in Show at the National Beagle Club likely two, and possibly three, times.

"Gilbert"

CH Lanbur Flying First Class

Gilbert is sired by Ch Lanbur Accidental Tourist. His mother is Ch Lanbur Thompson's Eye Candy under 13". His grandfathers are GCH Trajam The Tourist and BIS GCH Lanbur Quest For The Best. BIS Parker and BIS Carson are on both sides of the pedigree.

A quality 13" xceptionally showy bitch. She earned multiple Awards of Merit at the National Beagle Club (three or four) along with a Select placement. Though only shown sparingly, she also captured several Group Firsts. She is the dam of Gilbert.

Lanbur Briarpatch Beauty Secret

Lanbur Briarpatch Beauty Secret is one of my favorite Beagles of all time. She is pictured here in a photo taken by Beagle legend April Johnston. She is sired by National Beagle Club Reserve Winners Dog Ch. Gallamont Lanbur Midnight Ryder and out of Ch. Mistfield Girls Night Out, an Australian import.
